UPS Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
UPS Feeder Scheduler for OK and West TX
As the Feeder Scheduler I find the most efficient ways to move loads originating in OK as well as loads that need to be relayed through OK. This involves knowing when to use local drivers, sleeper teams, the train and contract drivers. I use UPS software to build allowances for running a Feeder route and alert management when drivers are taking too much time. I sometimes meet with customers to determine their time in transit needs to the locations they ship. I then determine the best low cost way of doing that. I help plan the shipping needs for the Amazon FC in Coffeyville, KS and I work on the dock during Peak to help oversee the process.
Education

Bachelor of Science Math
My overall GPA is 3.03 but my GPA for 3,000 level courses and above is 3.67.
The University of Oklahoma Math Department offered me a scholarship to continue towards a graduate degree. I turned it down to focus on work at UPS.
Accomplishment
When Coffeyville FC was storing product for the opening of the Dallas FC, they needed trailers to store the extra product. At the time UPS facility in OKC had 50 extra long trailers due the BNSF train yard in OKC being closed.
UPS was going to pay $600 per trailer to contract carriers to move them from OKC to the Dallas train yard.
I contacted the Coffeyville FC and said UPS would loan them the trailers they needed to store their extra product for a month or two in exchange for Amazon paying for the contract carriers to move the trailers to Dallas.
Amazon got 50 trailers at no charge and then moved them loaded to the new Dallas FC where UPS picked them up. UPS did not have to pay $30,000 to move empty trailers to Dallas.
