- Developed Outlook forms, using
VBScript generated XML files to represent the data entered in the forms.
- Developed a NT
Service in Visual Basic 6.0 to load the XML into MQSeries queues.
- In Excel VBA,
extracted cross-reference codes from multiple spreadsheets into a fixed length
record file for loading into an Oracle database.
- Wrote test
procedures and documentation for the tasks listed above.
- Wrote UNIX
Makefiles and shell scripts for the promotion of a library of C code through
function testing.
PROJECT: D.A.D, Database Assisted Design

- D.A.D is a
software package for instrumentation and electrical information management. It
stores component specifications, wiring and connection details in a database
and generates drawings on demand.
Companies using DAD include Woodside Energy and Worley Ltd.
- Developed using VB6, SQL Server 6.5, 7 and Visio. My
achievements include:
- Developed the Loop (Drawing)
generation module.
- Wrote
the Import Export application.
- Wrote the interface into SAP.
- Y2K testing and documentation.
PROJECT: Acoustic Remote Camera System
ROLE:
Software Engineer

COMMENCEMENT DATE AND TERM: November 1998, 6 weeks
- Developed
software to operate and control an Acoustic Remote Camera System.
- Used Visual
Basic to produce two applications (Surface & Sub Sea) and a communication
protocol suited to the low speed, high error rate of acoustic data transmission
in the ocean. This included low level RS232 communication programming.
PROJECT: Digital Court Recording and Transcription System

- The system was
developed in VB and C++, running on a NT/95 network using distributed
