Designed new search and rescue products, inflatable and inherently buoyant life jackets for recreational and industrial markets. I used my
technical skills in designing soft goods and a creative user centered development process to concept and execute new designs. This
approach enabled me to further entice the user to buy and wear a product that could save their life or the life of another.
Responsibilities included:
Developed innovative aesthetics, and features for different market and user needs
Created concept sketches in Illustrator and manage sample creation for sales meetings
Designed new flotation product lines for Walmart, Bass Pro Shops, and West Marine ($1.5 million in sales for West Marine alone)
Designed patterns and assisted in assembly operations for life jackets

Developed accurate and complete graphics, embroideries, specifications, and bill of materials
Achieved United States Coast Guard approval on all new life jacket designs by working closely with compliance team
Identified opportunities in the market place for new products, resulting in an additional feature driven product sold at Walmart
