RESEARCH STATEMENT

My research interests include FPGA-Based reconfigurable computing, Computer Security, embedded systems, program language implementations such as concurrent automatic dynamic memory

management. I work on practical hardware/software solutions that

enhance the performance of the computer systems.

EXPERIENCE

From 1994 to 1995, he worked for Institute of Information Science, Academia

Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. His major research is pertaining to computer aided

verification using timed temporal logic.

Starting from 1996, he managed a computer system company, Taichung, Taiwan.

Products and services include database design, network integration and

proprietary digital system design and implementation.

In 1998, he joined the Department of Computer Science at Illinois Institute

of Technology. He has been an instructor and a Ph.D. candidate since 1999.

Courses taught include assembly language and computer architecture, VHDL

design, operating system, Java programming, queuing theory and Unix system

programming.

In September 2002, he joined the department of computer science, University

of Texas at San Antonio as an assistant professor. Courses taught include Java programming, Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance and Testing, Programming Languages and Compilers, and Microcomputer Applications.

Since August 2009, he has been an associate professor with Computer Science and Software Engineering, Southern Polytechnic State University.
