Summary:
Retired Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions systems engineer with over 30
years of experience in advanced systems deployment and implementation for U.S Navy ASW
Combat Systems, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security
Administration (TSA) Electronic Baggage Screening and Passenger Screening programs including
the airport workforce federalization Strategic Airport Security Rollout (SASR) and various

Deployment experience includes stakeholder management and on site coordination of

and approval, risk identification, scheduling, permitting, construction, installation, integration,
training, testing, commissioning, operational transition and site restoration and project
closeout.
In addition to airport security, I also served as project technical liaison for New York City
Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department (MTAPD) Integrated Security System
installation that included deployment of MTA Police Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Video
surveillance and Command and Control Center.
I am familiar with TSA security layering and performance optimization initiatives as well as
Checked Bag and Passenger Screening Checkpoint design guides.

Strategic Airport Security Rollout (SASR) Team Lead, responsible for management and
coordination of contractor team supporting 8 month SASR rollout at Tampa International
Airport. TSA s SASR provides enhanced security through modernization of passenger screening
facility design and workforce proficiency improvements. Responsible for conducting
comprehensive survey of the airport security infrastructure, including perimeter fence,

Detection Systems (EDS/BHS) at Memphis and Orlando International Airports. Federal Aviation
Administration s (FAA) Explosives Detection Systems (EDS) EDS units provide screening solution
for automatically scanning passenger s checked bags for explosives. Units are 18 ft. long,
weighing 12 18,000 lbs. and are typically integrated into air carrier baggage handling system
(BHS). Twelve to eighteen month installations ranged in complexity from extensive building
modifications and structural rehabilitation to new facility construction. Responsible for on site
project supervision and coordination from concept/design to acceptance/implementation.
Assembled and coordinate project stakeholders and support team of local and national industry
specialist including Architectural & Engineering, General Contracting, Baggage Handling
Systems designers and BHS fabricators. Provide team with task direction, technical support and
coordination to perform site survey, develop installation plan options, schedule, cost estimates
and Concept of Operation. Assist stakeholders through installation design selection and
approval process. As team manager, formed partnership with project stakeholders, conducted
presentations, planning & review meetings, provided daily and weekly activity and status
