boarding stations, accomplished integration testing and certification of guideway
structure, passenger vehicle and support equipment. Accomplished system start-up.1978-1980 Universal Mobility, Inc. Project 1 Project Manager
Analyzed total system configuration and developed design revision,
which produced excellent winter, weather operational characteristics (patented). Designed
and demonstrated unique features applicable to operation of automated people movers.
Requested and received a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (UMTA) for the
demonstration of all weather performance of automated people mover systems. Accomplished
system start-up.1976-1978 West Virginia University Maintenance Manager
Responsible for initial revenue service of the most technically
sophisticated Automated People Mover system in the world (Morgantown Personal Rapid
Transit (MPRT)). Achievements included the systematic identification and resolution of
vehicle and wayside deficiencies. Developed budgets, policies, failure management and
emergency response procedures and specialty equipment. Implemented an in-house staff
training program, which resulted in a high level of diagnostic capability from 77 to 99
percent in less than two years. Established a Lesson Learned file for use in the
development of vehicle and wayside changes associated with the system expansion.1972-1976 The Boeing Company Field Engineer
Identified, coordinated and resolved vehicle and wayside problems in
the prototype design. Developed troubleshooting and test techniques for prototype guideway
