C. SKILLS:
c.1 The applicant has strong leadership skills. Since October 2008, she has managed a
team under her fledgling and soon-to-be registered company, LightSpeed Web Solutions.
The systems she uses are her own, developed via trial-and-error, and through observing the
processes her clients have in place.
c.2 applicant is adept at using the personal computer. She is able to work with computer
software without prior knowledge of them; especially good at working with MS Word, MS
Powerpoint, MS Frontpage, and their Open Source equivalents: NeoOffice Suite,
AbiWord, Open Office Suite. Currently, applicant is using OS X Tiger and is constantly
trying out new software. The applicant has experimented with Virtual Machines and
Windows Emulators. She had also explored podcasting on Garageband and movie editing
on iMovie. Her current fascination includes creating webpages, creating screencasts via
The Jing Project, as well as using Google Documents.
c.3 She has a working knowledge of CSS and HTML. Though the applicant is unable to
program, she can tweak webpages' CSS and HTML code for customization. She has had
experience with creating Joomla pages, working with hosting accounts and CPanel
backends, installing various CMS's (Content Management Systems), as well as
configuring various online accounts: from Social Networking websites to financial website
accounts like PayPal, iKobo.com, PayStone, Moneybookers, etc. She can construct
webpages using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface as that in
Kompozer, NVU, Amaya, etc.
c.4 Has an advanced knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and writes for SEO
purposes.
c.5 Being analytical, the applicant can easily analyze most systems and strategies,
especially those that involve business trends and human relationships. She tends to act as a
"career counselor" for most of her friends and acquaintances.
c.6 The applicant has a typing speed of more than 54-55 words per minute.
c.7 Has great organizing skills. Whether through using software, mere notebooks, or
just filing documents, the applicant takes pride in her knack for organization.
