concepting Design & implementation Interaction visualization ? Before getting into details 1. I have research & design background;
2. Yet, had the opportunity to take research results out from the lab to actual products (e.g. see Nokia One and Nokia Corporate Dialer);
3. Experienced leader: built up teams from scratch, led cross-lab global programs, combined teams and defined challenging research agenda with clear product path. Strategic design and portfolio management;
4. Deep understanding of interaction technologies, user experience and usability, interaction visualization with hands-on programming skills;
5. Excellent communication skills, team player, passionate to take long-term visions into real implementations. Goal oriented, with an eye for details. Excited to explore new opportunities where both deep understanding of technologies and design, as well as leadership capabilities required in building and motivating teams to achieve challenging goals.
Not afraid of getting hands dirty. Make people s lives easier by reducing the necessity of interaction with applications, machines, systems and services.
Focus on elegant technical solutions while addressing wider considerations, where people and their needs come first.
Interact closely with teams across an organization, from strategy, research, concept creation and design. The ultimate goal is to create products with cutting-edge technologies and superior user experience, validated through fast and rigorous user research and design iteration cycles. My mission: Passionate: About creating meaning and solutions that bring social value,
and delivering beautiful experiences with the "magic" of advanced technologies. Open to new challenges and the next big thing

about.me/boda Prototyping, interaction design Strategic design,
point of view development Visual design, wireframe development, data visualization (an aggregated dashboard view, not the final product) Experience sharing (research and prototype implementation) A visual representation of the user's contextual story, a week of activities. The sphere can be controlled by multimodal interaction, speech and 3D gestures. Collaboration with Yuan-Yi Fan (UCSB). A workshop on ubicomp and user interaction, 2006, Monterey, CA
How far can we stretch the use of sensor and contextual information for any UI implementation? How to provide seamless, almost invisible UI operation? Can explicit user inputs be combined with sensor and contextual info in a uniform fashion? WebCall was a mobile-only social networking app, using context and sensor information in a social phonebook like settings. Simple plug-ins allowed additional features (e.g. context-sensitive Q/A, story sharing). Worked on all levels of spoken and multimodal human-computer interaction (speech analysis, recognition, natural language understanding, dialogue management).
CATCH-2004: a bilingual conversational program guide app.
FamilyMap (above right): multimodal contextual navigation for families. Spoken and gesture interaction, with haptics and rich sensor implementation. Several prototypes with speech UI, e.g. speech-enabled Calendar (above) and media box navigation (NaviBar) with spoken interaction. Interaction visualization: 6000+ spoken dialogues from the Corporate Dialer implementation.
For more details see the ICSLP publication from 2000. A statistical framework for multimodal integration of explicit user inputs (e.g. speech and gesture) and sensor and contextual information. Maximum Entropy classification embedded into a Genetic Algorithm based optimization.
