o Motion analysis, multiple target tracking using Kalman filtering and probabilistic data association
- Studied camera pose analysis to transform the camera pixels to real world coordinates

Doctoral Research Topic: Modeling and Optimal Control of Coldstart Emissions in SI engines
- Developed physical and statistical models for engine variables for warm-up phase
- Designed and implemented an optimal controller algorithm using a novel convex relaxation approach
- Experience in instrumentation, design of experiments, signal processing and data analysis
DARPA Grand Challenge Berkeley Team (2006-2007):
- Designed a high-level path planner for obstacle avoidance and low level controllers (steering, throttle,
brake) for a completely autonomous vehicle
- The algorithm was prototyped in Matlab
ROBOTICS / DESIGN / INSTRUMENTATION:
Robot arm motion tracking controller design (U.C. Berkeley, Fall 2003):
- Studied the dynamics of a 6 degrees of freedom robot arm
- Designed and successfully implemented a real-time controller in Java for path-planning and control
Biped robot prosthetic knee design and control (U.C. Berkeley, Fall 2004):
- Designed and implemented a controller in C to control the gait of the biped robot
- Prototyped and tested the design successfully
