WORK SUMMARY (by title):

SENIOR ENGINEER: Performed, researched and resolved Engineering Requests, through writing technical evaluations, alternate part replacement evaluations and Design Change Packages (including 10CFR50.59 evaluations reviews).

PROCUREMENT BOM ENGINEER (LEAD ENGINEER): Supervised (as lead engineer) and performed the following: determining safety classifications of components/parts/materials for procurement and other purposes by component application and/or ID within the plant, performed, alternate part replacement evaluations (including 10CFR50.59 evaluations reviews) to assure design margins were maintained; commercial grade evaluations (including dedication actions); safety related classification evaluations; like-for-like procurement evaluations; alternate/equivalent replacement part and component specifications; nonconforming materials evaluations and dispositions; Engineering Request and Condition Report evaluations and resolutions; Bill of Material classifications, evaluations and input; and resolved both material programmatic nonconformances (for IC, electrical and mechanical components). Wrote procurement specifications for IC, electrical and mechanical components. Wrote the procedures for and trained engineering personnel in procurement evaluation requirements (including commercial grade dedication), alternate part replacements, performing safety classifications and wrote EQ procedures. Identified obsolete equipment, recommended frequently developed specifications for equivalent/identical or alternate replacements. Also researched and specified a Gas Spectrometer, tensile tester (and other major test equipment) for the dedication of commercial grade items. Supervised or directed (as lead engineer) up to 7 engineers. Negotiated and expedited procurements of equipment and/or services to support plant needs. Principal interface with the NRC on Procurement Engineering and Commercial Grade questions concerns and issues. Principal interface with QA for internal audits, responsible for resolving unsat findings, responsible for coordinating QA activities on QA Surveys, Surveillances, etc. when QA was sent to a commercial grade supplier Researched, addressed, verified, and assured that Corrective Actions were taken to correct nonconforming conditions identified by QA and/or the NRC. And that Root Causes were identified and that the actions taken were adequate to prevent reoccurrence of the nonconforming conditions.

EQ ENGINEER: Performed reviews of EQ documents to determine compliance with the EQ requirements and to establish maintenance and surveillance requirements needed to maintain qualified equipment. Established and wrote the procedure for maintaining EQ Binders. Wrote maintenance plans and trained maintenance planners on maintaining qualified equipment to ensure qualified status was maintained.

TECHNICAL WRITER: Wrote programs and the related procedures for the following: review, control and issue of controlled documents (including procedures), processing procurement documents; Engineering establishing and maintaining a Bill of Material data base; writing procurement specifications for major components; establishing and implementing receiving inspection sampling plans; direction for writing source inspection/surveillanceplans; the Startup Test program, controls and procedures for processing, reviewing, approving, maintaining, issuing and documenting test procedures and results; documenting, tagging, and resolving equipment deficiencies prior to final testing and acceptance; documenting and resolving nonconformances in equipment or program; controlling test and maintenance activities; control and issue of controlled documents; and storing test procedures and records; review approval and control of Vendor Technical Information; reviewing and approving test results; storing and maintaining test records; processing and transmitting test records for final storage; procedure for performing a QA review of procurement documents for nuclear safety related equipment;ISO Quality implementation procedures and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA safety guidelines. NOTE:

I was the principal developer of the programs and authored the top tier and implementing procedures for processing procurement documents and establishing technical and quality requirements at both Waterford and River Bend. I was especially involved with it at River Bend when all the new EPRI Guidelines and NRC Letters Notices and NUREGS needed to be incorporated relative to technical evaluations of replacement items, Commercial Grade items, safety classifications, alternate replacement parts and shelf-life guidelines.

STARTUP RESOURCES CENTER TEST RESULTS REVIEW GROUP SUPERVISOR, JOINT TEST RESULTS REVIEW GROUP (JTG) SECRETARY and LEAD COMMITMENT TRACKING ENGINEER - Supervised and performed the following: Development of design configuration control(s) and writing of the program, controls and procedures for processing, reviewing, approving, maintaining, issuing and documenting test procedures and results; documenting, tagging, and resolving equipment deficiencies prior to final testing and acceptance; documenting and resolving nonconformances in equipment or program; controlling test and maintenance activities; control and issue of controlled documents; and storing test procedures and records; review approval and control of Vendor Technical Information; reviewing and approving test results; storing and maintaining test records; processing and transmitting test records for final storage. Responsible for training Start-up personnel in safety and quality compliance controls and requirements; Responsible for Startup Departmental compliance during Startup; Responsible for assuring corrective actions taken as a result of identified deficiencies were tracked, adequate and completed in a timely manner. LEAD QA PROCUREMENT REVIEW ENGINEER:Supervised and performed the following: Reviews of procurement documents to ensure they established the proper requirements to ensure compliance with nuclear laws, codes and standards; in addition, performed supplier audits and worked with suppliers to resolve identified deficiencies and concerns. I wrote the QA Manual for NUS Activities during the review of procurement documents for Brown Roots procurement of items for the South Texas Project, in addition to vendor audits and inspections.

QA FIELD REPRESENTATIVE and SOURCE SURVEILLANCE: Performed audits, surveys, source surveillances and inspections at vendors facilities and wrote associated reports and findings. Also, expedited needed supplier activities to support client or plant needs.

IRONWORKER, MACHINIST AND QC NDT INSPECTOR: Performed ironwork installation, equipment repair, equipment testing, inspections and NDT (visual, radiographic, penetrate, UT and magnetic particle) inspections at construction sites, pipelines, refineries, on ships and submarines.
