Summary
A soon to be graduate of aerospace engineering, who has a background in a
wide variety of engineering projects with a history of hands on experience,
research, environmental technologies, strong work ethic, established
leadership and problem solving capabilities who is seeking employment
within the mechanical engineering industry
Work Experience
Saint Louis University - Research Internship
Summer 2011 - Present
0. Designed and built a 104 core Linux computer cluster that modeled I used
to model an object using computational fluid dynamics to determine its
aerodynamic properties
0. Used a wind tunnel and particle imaging velocimetry to obtain and
validate data
0. The goal was to determine the effects that bumps have when placed on a
wing under specific conditions
0. Published and presented two conference papers as lead author, A
Computational and Experimental Investigation of Flow over an Inflatable
Wing and Computational Testing of Inflatable Airfoils for Improved
Design, which were presented at the 30th annual AIAA conference of
applied Aerodynamics and 50th annual AIAA conference of Aerospace
Sciences respectively
0. Under my supervision the five year old project will be submitting a
scientific journal article for review
University of Kentucky - Center for Applied Energy Research
Fall 2008 - Winter 2011
0. Laboratory Technician for the carbon research group
0. The mission was to create cost effective ultra capacitors that could be
used in environmental technology - hybrid cars and regenerative
mechanical systems
0. Responsible for the pre-treatment and post-treatment of the carbon
material as well as the creation of the test capacitors
