- Developing modified mel frequency cepstrum coefficients to improve the efficiency,
reliability of audio surveillance systems.
- Designed a n automatic environmental noise classifier based on fuzzy logic type 1 system
by using MATLAB fuzzy logic toolbox.
- Designed environmental non-speech sound classifier based on support vector machines and
k-means clustering by using MATLAB software.
- Designed an audio surveillance system based on support vector machines.
- Investigated on creating a better feature sets for a better classification, identification of
noise, speech, environmental sounds such as modifying mfcc mel frequency cepstrum
coefficients.
- Used neural networks and support vector machines to compare the mel frequency
cepstrum coefficients and newly generated pitch-range based features.
- Studied on neural networks in the pattern recognition class in Fall 2009 semester.
