Department of Defense NDSEG Graduate Research Fellowship (2010-Current): Funded dissertation research
to satisfy the requirements for PhD, involving design and optimal maneuvering of Coulomb formations.
Research Assistant (2009-2010): Worked with Dr. Cesar Ocampo on a NASA/JSC grant to develop Copernicus
algorithm support, and stand-alone methods, for targeting anytime fuel optimal Moon-to-Earth trajectories.
Teaching Assistant (2008-2010): Weekly lecture to 40+ students, courses included: Statics, Flight Controls, and
Spacecraft Dynamics, Systems University of Texas at Austin.
Applied Physics Laboratory Advanced Concepts Project (2009): Mission designer within a multi-disciplinary
group charged with developing a pre-proposal feasibility study for a Uranus orbiter mission.

NASA internship at the Applied Physics Lab, Laurel MD, May 2009-August 2009.
o Radiation Storm Belt Probes (RBSP) Guidance and Control team engineer.
o Developed and tested spacecraft dynamical models and estimation tools. Assisted in program documentation
tasks and system test development.
Subcontract software engineer assigned to Honeywell Aerospace, Glendale AZ, May 2008-August 2008.
o Boeing 787 flight control system engineer.
o Responsibilities included overseeing software test procedures performed in the United States, India, and Russia.
Test Engineer Internship, Honeywell Aerospace, Tempe AZ, May 2005-May 2007.
o Airframe valve group with various program experience including JSF and Airbus A-380.
o Produced test procedures, reports, and change requests. Evaluated engineering drawings, MIL specifications,
