I am currently holding a permanent position with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines which is one of the largest Japanese shipping companies. I have above 2 years experience as Chief Officer with MOL and will soon be promoted to Master. My experience in MOL has been primarily in Car Career domain. I have gained rich experience with Massive new car carriers that serve global production centers.
Responsibilities:
Managing ship and cargo operations
Maintaining legal and operational records, eg the ship's log;
Undertaking essential administration, including budgets, accounts, stock and cargo records;
Managing the work of ratings and providing training and support for deck officer trainees;
Monitoring navigation and weather reports and taking appropriate action;

I had a long career association with Egon Olderndroff which is one of the most prestigious German shipping companies and Germany's largest bulk ship owner. I joined this company as a cadet and was offered the most fast track career growth. I was rewarded for my hard work and competence and promoted quickly to third and second officer. I had a rich experience in General Cargo and SelfUnloader Bulker vessels. My experience here was from hands on equipment usage and maintenance to overall ship and cargo administration.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring and maintaining the ship's equipment
Ensuring sea-worthiness and supervising cargo operations
Ship position fixing and communications
Specific responsibilities for occupational health and safety (and associated documentation)
Accident investigation/reports
Crew induction, safety training, and the inspection and maintenance of firefighting and life-saving equipment.
Correction and updating of navigation charts and nautical publications, and for passage planning, which is the navigation plan for the intended voyage from berth to berth.
