My Life long Career in wood products is summarized in the attached Resume. I left the industry in early 2008 as the housing decline decimated our company and caused many plant shutdowns across the country. Me and other long term managers were given early retirement to make room for a group of up-and-coming managers the company had heavily invested in. I chose to start my own catering company and have been operating it until this day. While I enjoy cooking I truly miss my life in the mill. I enjoy people and working as a team. I'm very energetic and would very much appreciate an interview.

Plant Manager

Responsible for all Strategic planning, Forestry, Staffing, Safety, Environmental, Production and Quality Compliance. Direct management of staff to achieve Company objectives. (400 Employees) Safety improvements include taking the plant from 21 OSHA recordable injuries in 2003 to 5 recordables by 2007, an improvement of 76%. Workers Comp cost from $168,000 in 2003 down to $2,200 by the end of 2006, an improvement of 99%. During the first 60 days of arriving on site negotiated a favorable settlement to pending NLRB issues from previous years. During first year on site negotiated a favorable settlement to OSHA for reporting violations from previous years.

WEYERHAEUSER COMPANY, Chester, SC, Moncure, NC 2002 - 2004

Complex Manager

Responsibilities included three plants: Chester Plywood and Veneer plant (300 Employees), Chester Sawmill (60 Employees and Moncure, NC Plywood and Veneer plant (220 Employees). The Chester complex utilized 90% Southern Yellow Pine and 10% hardwoods to produce Sheathing grade and sanded grade products. The Moncure plant utilized 100% hardwoods to produce furniture grade specialty grade plywood. Responsible for all Strategic planning, Staffing and Hiring, Safety, Environmental, Production and Quality Compliance. Direct management of staff to achieve Company objectives. These plants were among the safest and most profitable in the company.

Willamette Industries, Inc., Simsboro, LA - EWP Complex 1997 - 2002

Complex Manager

Area Manager responsibilities included Ruston, LA Plywood and Veneer plant (200 Employees), Simsboro, LA Glu-Lam plant (100 Employees), Simsboro, LA LVL Plant (100 Employees), Simsboro I-Joist plant (30 Employees). Responsibilities

included Construction and Startup, Staffing and hiring, Build management staff to achieve company objectives, Strategic Planning for mill, Safety, Production, Quality and Environmental Compliance, Oversee Financial Management. The Ruston Plywood and Veneer plant supplied veneer to the Simsboro LVL (laminated veneer lumber).

Martco Plywood, Chopin, LA 1995 - 1997

Responsibilities included the Startup and Construction of this -State of the Art- (450 Employee) Plywood Complex, Staffing and Hiring, Budgets, Strategic Planning, Safety, Production, Quality and Environmental Compliance.
