Professional experience
eBay, Inc., (an online auction company, www.ebay.com)
San Jose, CA. April 2003 - present
Sta Software Engineer
eBay Developers Program is a new strategic direction of eBay s business allowing
third party developers to create their own applications using API provided by eBay. My
responsibilities include design and implementation of server side software components
and services. Environment includes IBM WebSphere 5.1, J2EE, SOAP, Java 2, MS Visual
Studio .NET, XML, ISAPI.
Ortega InfoSystems, Inc., (a security software startup company, www.ortegainfo.com)
Santa Clara, CA. 2002 - April 2003
Senior Software Engineer
FacilitySm@rtTM is a web-based software package allowing integration of heteroge-
neous security systems, software and hardware of an enterprise. I was responsible for
core development of server-side modules, database interfaces and parts of web-based
client. Environment included MS Visual C++, MS Visual Studio .NET, MFC, COM,
DCOM, ActiveX, ASP, JScript, VBScript, ADO, MS SQL Server 2000, XML, ISAPI.
Signature Bioscience, Inc., (a drug discovery startup company, www.signaturebio.com)
San Francisco, CA. 2000 - 2002
Senior Software Engineer
WaveScreenTM is a suite of software and hardware products which enables acquisition
and analysis of PhenoDynamic data the new drug discovery technology. My respon-
sibilities were including design and implementation of numerical algorithms processing
and storing experimental data in a database, and design and development of the Material
Interaction Analysis software module providing GUI for server-side computational sub-
routines. Environment includes MS Visual C++, MS Visual Studio .NET, Compaq Visual
Fortran, Rational Studio, MS SQL Server 2000, XML, ISAPI, MSMQ.
Metabyte Networks, Inc., (a personal TV technology company, www.metabyte.com)
Fremont, CA. 2000
Software Engineer
Member of R&D team designed and developed the interactive television system
(MbTV). My responsibilities were fuzzy logic algorithm development, set-top box em-
bedded programming and porting of C and C++ code from Linux to Win32 platform
including POSIX threads library and Berkeley-style sockets related code. Environment:
GNU C/C++, MS Visual C++, Linux, Win32.
A number of Russian software companies
Russia. 1991 - 2000
Senior Software Developer, Software Architect, Team Manager
Numerous projects completed include work ow systems, banking software and soft-
ware development tools. Along with team management my responsibilities included
back-end and front-end design and implementation of di erent software components.
Environment included di erent versions of MS Visual C++, MS SQL Server, MFC, ODBC,
COM, DCOM, COM+, XML, Rational Software etc.
Research Computing Center of Moscow State University, www.srcc.msu.su
Moscow, Russia. 1988-1991
Numerical Algorithms Developer
Designed and programmed in FORTRAN 12 algorithms for solving sti systems of
di erential equations. These subroutines are now part of the Numerical Analysis Library,
which is the main product of the Center.
Education
M.S. in Mathematics, Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, 1991
Ph.D. in Mathematics, Udmurt State University, Izhevsk, Russia, 1998
Postgraduate work in the Department of Di erential Equations, developing numer-
ical algorithms (FORTRAN, C++ and MATLAB). Author of known CVM class library
encapsulating the concepts of vector and di erent kinds of matrices including square,
band, symmetric and hermitian ones, in Euclidean space of real and complex numbers.
This library utilizes non-trivial fast memory management and intensively uses Intel Math
Kernel Library and LAPACK library.
