Awards: 2009 Rhode Award- Preservation Project of the Year
Joint Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission and
Preserve Rhode Island award ceremony. Awarded to the owners for the 1810
Joseph Cooke House. HRI completed the whole house restoration, including
systems upgrades, kitchen, bathrooms, window restoration and exterior fabric.

Awarded to the Burrillville Historical and Preservation Society (BHPS) for The
high quality of the restoration reaffirms the organization s commitment to historic

A collaboration between Blithewold, Roger Williams University and Goodwill
Industries of RI/IPT. Ten seniors participated on the restoration of an octagonal,
1910 Tea House, completing: framing repairs; column repairs; window
restorations; sidewall shingle repairs; wood shingle roof replacement; and
painting.

Organized and executed a four month stone and brick restoration training
program. Coordinated preservation specialists with two preservation trainees
