Introduction:

I started my career in the staffing industry back in the early mid 90s beginning as

a recruiter, sales rep, branch mananger and ending as a Vice President of the eastern USA before leaving to work for myself as a consultant to the staffing industry. I also developed the foundation of Careerpath.com which was later acquired and became Careerbuilder. My specialties covered IT, full services admin/LI and A&F and Engineering.

My time working as a consultant for the staffing industry has helped

me develop a unique set of skills. By working with so many staffing firms across the USA I have been able to learn all of the various business models and why certain staffing companies are more successful than others. I am sure you agree when a person looks at an industry from a wide angle they can see and learn more than many people inside the industry. I have had the pleasure of working with various staffing firms seeking to expand into other specialties such as growing from Administrative to Accounting or IT. This was very interesting because I was exposed to all the mistakes and success stories from which I can bring this experience to any company I work with.

And, I have witnessed many mergers that sadly caused high turnover and losses. Although this is a negative, the positive is the lessons I learned because when you see what can go wrong, the path to success becomes clear. Also, when it comes to M&A I have been retained by Wall Street firms and large national staffing companies to find smaller to midsized staffing firms to acquire and assist with the valuation and offer process.

As a Head Hunter specializing in staffing I have honed my skills at finding, recruiting and hiring the best people in the staffing industry which translates very well into executive level positions because the key to being a successful VP or C level executive is the ability to attract the best and brightest in the staffing industry to work for them. I have also been retained to develop video training used to teach entry level sales people and recruiters. Due to the unique nature of my business I have expanded my higher level executive and basic recruiter & sales experience at the same time. I have been fortunate enough to be exposed to a great deal of C level activity and experience while keeping my hand deep in the game training sales people and recruiters at the ground level.

NOTE: I have invested over $200k developing the database built into the backside of this website which contains the most advanced and complete staffing industry talent scouting and internal hiring system found anywhere in the staffing industry, which I can bring to the table.

March 2003 to present: Staffing Industry Talent Scouts Inc.

Left a position as VP of a staffing organization to start a recruiting & consulting

business specializing in the staffing/recruiting industry. This led to work in mergers and acquisitions, executive search in staffing, consulting to Owners and CEOs and developing training for sales people and recruiters.

Knowing staffing firms cannot always recruit and hire sales people or recruiters into lateral positions I created Staffing University which is 125 pages and 10 videos. This is a solid nuts and bolts staffing 101 training program that can teach a new hire more about staffing, sales & recruiting then most people learn in their first year working for staffing companies. The theory is if you cannot recruit an experienced staffing pro away from other firm you and I can use my training program to convert an entry level new hire to being just as good and better than recruiting people out of other staffing firms who have 6 months to 1 year experience.

April 1999 to March 2003 Orus Staffing Services

East Coast Vice President

Was hired to start a staffing firm focussing mostly on IT. Personally sold

and recruited literally building the company from scratch. Through bringing in several large clients, we ramped

up to hiring 40 recruiters all working from a HUB in Fort Lauderdale, with several

regional Sales People covering major markets along the East Coast reporting to me. Although I had a VP title, I personally brough in our largest customers while also hiring, training and building out our locations up and down the east coast. By 2001 we had grown from my being alone in that first

office, to 40 recruiters, 10 sales people and revenues exceeding 40 million annually.

At the peak we had 400 temporary/contractor employees on billing and were averaging

$250k per month in perm revenues. The niches were IT, Accounting, and professional

corporate job types.

January 1998 to 1999 – Internet Solutions Worldwide

Developed the foundation for Careerpath.com which was acquired by Careerbuilder.com

Sales Manager

ISWW was the largest web site design firm in the nation at the time and was an AT&T

partner.

AT&T provided hosting services, we sold companies on buying web site design

from which we partnered with AT&T on data lines and hosting.

I convinced the Owners of the company to develop an Online Job Fair web site. It

was called www.Techuniverse.com, I owned the domain name. I negotiated and was given ownership

of the TechUniverse project. I later collaborated with another web site development

firm to complete the project. We sold the web site which was then used as the model

from which to launch Careerpath.com which was later became Careerbuilder.com.

March 1995 to December 1997 – Data Force Inc.

Sales, Recruiter & Branch Manager.

I was hired as an IT Recruiter, later promoted into sales, then to branch management.

At my peak as a BM I had 85 contractors on billing and on the side we did 1.5 million

annually in perm placement fees.

1992 to 1995 – Network Staffing Inc

This was a temporary staffing firm that focused on administrative staffing. My role

was to canvass the region, outside sales, along with telemarketing to seek job orders

and reach decision makers.
