Sales, enterWorks.com - Incorporated January '96, enterWorks.com is a
wholly owned Telos company charged with delivering tools to build
business on the Internet and intranet. Issues involved concern network
security, ubiquitous data access to include data warehousing, fusion,
and migration, and enterprise-wide workflow. Accounts include the
Office of the Secretary of Defense and National Agencies with contacts
at the highest levels. Individual DoD '96 Revenues: $2.3M
New Business Development- Responsible for identifying and championing
new technologies into commercial products. Tasks involve development
of business marketing and staffing plans, strategic planning, VAR/OEM
agreements and sales generation. Responsible for generating $4 million
of revenue for a startup business. Accounts include Northrop,
McDonnell Douglas, and the DoD. Primary focus has using
Object-Oriented databases to provide a homogenized view/access of
enterprise legacy databases -- Adabas, DB2, M204, IMS, Oracle, Sybase,
Ingress, flat files, and text -- and 'smart' data warehousing. Initial
market has been expanded from the Intelligence community to Aerospace,
Financial, and Manufacturing Information Systems. Past developments
have required international sales and marketing in Egypt, Kuwait, and
Saudi Arabia. Other areas of interest include hypermedia, document
management, massively parallel computing, transputers, MOSAIC, natural
language processing, neural networks, intelligent text retrieval,
WAIS, and intelligent databases.
Project Manager. Data Processing and Analysis Subsystem (DPAS) for the
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Design,
implement, and test of a near real-time system of networked OS/2
workstations running custom PM applications communicating with SYBASE
running on a VAX 4000 and LAN Manager servers in a client/server
architecture. Development methodology relied heavily on the use of
CASE tools for software, database design and configuration management.
Hypertext authoring tools are being used to create on-line
documentation.
Program Manager. Space Science Division, Naval Research Laboratory.
Maintain and sustain the Division's current computational and network
resources. Extend current ORACLE-based MIS applications. Assisted in
the establishment of a Background Data Center (BDC) for the Strategic
Defense Initiative. The BDC hardware included VAX 6420's, CI
clustering, optical juke boxes, and a FDDI compliant token optical
ring network. The prototype system used INGRES as the RDBMS.
Systems Architect
. Information Systems Division. Designed and
implemented a secure Management Information System for the Joint
Tactical Fusion Office. The System featured ORACLE working in a
networked environment providing program management, project
scheduling, cost estimation, and integrated logistic support
functions. The system also served as a platform for office automation
products. The network consisted of IBM PC's and Apple Macintosh's
connected over an Ethernet LAN to a Local Area VAX Cluster, that acts
as an ORACLE and PC network server. Responsible for the preparation
and conduct of reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR's) and studies.
SPOT IMAGE CORPORATION
1986-1987Manager, Software Systems. Oversaw the development of corporate
software and maintenance of DEC hardware and proprietary telemetry
subsystem. Assisted the director of technical operations in the
processing of satellite imagery on a VAX 11/785 in conjunction with
FPS 5200. Designed, tested, and implemented business programs that
exploited the corporate relational database (VAX RDB) using VAX
FORTRAN. Procured and installed a MicroVAX II as an extension to the
current networked system. Selected and installed a 3COM LAN to run
custom business applications.
QUEST RESEARCH CORPORATION
1985-1986Project Leader
. Designed and implemented software projects with
emphasis on man-machine interface and digital signal processing in a
VAX environment. Supervised a seven member team in building an ELINT
analysis workstation in accordance with NASAM 81-2, 3 methodology.
This VAX FORTRAN application required a working knowledge of digital
signal processing, radar systems, and Kalman filtering. Prototyped new
software systems based on PC's and provided internal PC support.
DELTA DATA SYSTEMS CORPORATION
1982-1985Director of Software, Federal Systems Group. Planned and designed
systems for new projects. Hired and supervised fourteen software
engineers assigned to DOD and Government Agency projects. These
projects required familiarity with advanced TEMPEST workstation
architectures. Procured PDP 11/23 for system development. Led a
four-man team in re-writing a 40,000-line assembly language program
that drove an intelligent terminal - Delta Data 8260. Helped design
and implement the architecture for a new agency standard terminal.
Wrote a terminal control program for MONOPOLE workstation. Used ICE
machines for sophisticated debugging.
