As the Micro Systems Support Analyst, I was responsible for: system
design,
application development, network supervision and new installations,
supervising
computer need of 15 bakery plants across canada, hardware/software
evaluation,
purchasing and installation, establishment of a sound remote connection
for data
transfer from our plants, internetwork connection to parent and sister
companies.
Some of my developments for Westons were: Developed
numerous multi-user database applications using CLIPPER 5.0
Upgraded existing Netware 286 v.2.15 to Netware 386 v.3.11
Installed an E-mail system Set up a MHS-email gateway
to access dissimilar email around the world Implemented
a fax-server on the network
I was also maintaining the existing: AS400 Gateway

company PC's used as AS400 terminal using emulation

Started as a programmer in a team of 10 people working on a PC-based
insurance
database application called CLASS. After six months, I was heading
the support
team of this system further developing and modifying the CLASS system.

Netware 286 v2.15 and 386 v3.0!
