outreach and publicity by leveraging a network of 245 environment, agriculture, and journalists in print, radio, TV,
and web media spanning Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Cultivated and led 40 of the world s most
respected food/agricultural experts for the Nourishing the Planet Advisory Group.
E nvironmental Innovat ion: Promote sustainable environmental solutions on a global scale by
conducting 350+ on-site visits with farmers, farmers groups, policymakers, scientists, researchers, and
NGOs in 25 sub-Saharan African nations. Analyze agriculture/poverty alleviation projects and forged an
outreach campaign to publicize emerging innovations.
- Catalyzed relationships with critical agricultural funders, holding more than 50 briefings with
organizations such as Heifer International, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford
