Communications Audit, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency Designed and developed automated

database to evaluate the agency s communications system and prioritize investments.

Flood Control Capital Programing, King County Facilitated inter-jurisdictional technical working

groups and advisory body of local elected officials to develop evaluation criteria, prioritize, and

program capital projects for flood risk reduction.

Nightlife and Residential Land Use Conflicts Recommendations, City of Seattle Developed

recommendations to mitigate noise related nightlife and residential land use conflicts through the

proposed amendments to the city s noise control ordinance.

Public Health Laboratories Risk and Safety Assessment, Washington State Department of Health

Facilitated technical working groups, consultant research and recommendations, and stakeholder

engagement. This politically charged, and controversial project, encompassed master planning,

development rights, and inter-jurisdictional relations; the final deliverable was a detailed risk and

safety assessment of the operation of the Washington State Public Health Laboratories and

recommendations for operations and capital programming.

Transportation Planning Specialist II,

Responsible for research and planning for Washington State transportation policy plans and programs.

Authored and developed public policy documents, and advised elected officials and executive officers on

complex legislative and policy matters.

Highlighted Projects:

Washington Transportation Plan 2006-2027 Served as a lead author for the statewide long range

transportation plan; conducted research and analysis of existing and proposed policy, and prepared

recommendations to the Washington Transportation Commission. Planned and managed the public

outreach facets of this plan; advised legislative and executive leadership on responses to public

comments and appropriate amendments to legislation and policy.

Federal Application: Interstate 5 Designation as a Corridor of the Future Lead author for the tri-

state federal grant application for the Corridors of the Future program, successfully achieved

designation of I-5 as a Corridor of the Future. Responsibilities included coordinating grant application

on behalf of the Transportation Secretaries of the states of Washington, Oregon, and California; as a

direct result of the designation, the three participating state agencies received an award of $15 million

for the corridor.

Conducted research and authored a best practices guide on pedestrian safety. Represented the Federal

Highway Administration Florida Division in multi-agency meetings with state and local agencies for
