PROFILE I have 15 years of experience with web application development, and managing teams of web developers.
I have extensive knowledge and experience of web technologies and the surrounding universe of standards
and development environments. Additionally, I am a member of the Apache Software Foundation, and a
world-recognized speaker, author, and expert on web technologies and Open Source Software, speaking at
2 - 5 conferences a year on these topics. I am looking for a position as lead developer or development

ClearMyRecord.com, Lexington, Kentucky 2008-Present
Led a team of 8 developers to automate the online process of Criminal Record Expungement. Developed
an Object-Oriented PHP web application, using the MVC framework CakePHP, to allow the customer to
go through the entire process in the privacy of their home. Developed Hard2Hire.com, a site providing
career advancement resources for individuals attempting to improve their marketability.

Apache Software Foundation 2003-Present
Participated in the writing of the documentation for the Apache Web Server versions 1.3, 2.0, 2.2, and
2.4. Wrote most of the tutorials in the "howto" section of the docs, and moved the configuration
documentation from a developer-centered style to an administrator-centered style. Assisted in planning
ApacheCon US and Europe every year since 2001, assembling the call for papers, reviewing the
submissions, choosing the schedule of talks, and planning the logistics of the conference.
WEB DATABASE DEVELOPER
Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky 2005-2008
Led a development team which migrated the Asbury College website from a legacy static content model to
a full Content Management System, developed entirely in-house, used by every department on campus,
including web-based calendaring, job listings, community involvement elements, weekly newspaper,
blogging, and various other media-rich website components.

Cooper McGregor, Inc and The Creative Group, Wilmore, Kentucky 2000-2004
Led team developing web based applications and dynamic websites, for companies from a variety of
industry sectors, including politicians, insurance vendors, and computer hardware vendors. Also produced
web-based applications for commercial sale.
Conducted training on web technologies, particularly the administration of the Apache Web Server.

SKILLS I am an accomplished programmer, specializing in PHP and Perl, and have extensive experience in the
collaborative Open Source development model, both on an extremely large scale (The Apache Web
Server, within the Apache Software Foundation) and on the very small scale of two- and three-member
Open Source projects. These techniques and philosophies have led me to a number of positions in which
team development of software projects has been used to develop very short-deadline and aggressive feature
set projects.
I am a world-recognized authority on the Apache Web Server, having written a dozen books on the topic,
