Accomplishments: Researched, designed, wrote, and refined CGI progams in C and Perl to
implement the Web server portion of,
which enables access to mainframe CICS via the Web or other TCP clients.
Created working versions on AIX, Linux, Windows NT, and OS/2, and contributed
to the working version on Solaris.
Designed and implemented new user interfaces and graphical elements for
the University of Florida Registrar's Web sites, including
ISIS (Integrated Student Information System), the
and sites,
and the re-tooling and photographic update of the
Virtual Tour.
Administered the (now defunct) Web server ttt.reg.ufl.edu, running Apache on NT;
the secure FACTS developer's Web server, running Apache on OS/2; and the FACTS developers
Usenet server, running DNEWS on NT.
Participated in the design and creation of the
FACTS system,
which provides real-time interface between all Florida public higher-education institutions.
For all of the above I worked with C, EAGLE, Java, Perl, JavaScript, XML, a small amount of Assembler
and COBOL, and various graphics tools such as Paint Shop Pro and Adobe Pagemaker.

porting legacy applications to currently supported languages, where applicable.
Wrote SAS programs to support DASD cost reductions.
Wrote SAS and COBOL programs to support department Year 2000 project.

facilitating concurrent development with outside software vendor.
Converted users from 3270 datastream to TCP/IP client emulators,

Documented complex computer information in a manner geared towards novice users.
In available time, researched applicability of technologies such as Java, UNIX, and
ActiveX to department goals.
