Worked with internal clients to analyze needs, then designed, developed, tested, and deployed
new software systems using Java and PHP. Migrated internal portal and applications from Lotus
Notes to Java and developed many JSR 168 portlets. Deployed and modified open source software
for clients. Supported existing PHP applications. Hired and managed two student workers for
several months. Public website maintenance, including JavaScript and CSS development.

Designed and implemented software for a system of trust networks to filter spam. Began as a
senior project at Calvin College with a partner and released as an open source project. Wrote
formal paper and presented to a local audience.
