This is a Health Care based company, As part of the development team worked on various projects including integrations between SCM and DSSI, Pharmacy Billing to PeopleSoft and LTC, Horizon Hospice and Horizon HomeCare.

UHS has several Facilities throughout the country, in order to have them integrated between these facilities and some vendors like DSSI, Gerimad who provide the invoices and other pharmacy related documents in the form of EDI’s. In order to communicate with them in a seamless manner BizTalk Server has been implemented to overcome the issues like slowness, message loss and failure.

RLOM Integration

It’s an Integration Project between legacy systems (Order Management and Reverse Logistics) using BizTalk Server to replace the existing file based integration with BizTalk Implementation to overcome the issues such as loss of messages and slow response time.

Microsoft has several hardware gaming devices or systems like Xbox, Xbox360, Zune etc which they sell these devices to customers. If the customers face any problems with them they will raise an issue with Microsoft Call Center (CAP). The issue might be a Repair Order, Fulfillment Order or Warranty extension. The raised issue goes to Microsoft Order Management (OM) where all the business rules validation takes place and then finally from OM this issue is raised back to Reverse Logistics (RL database).

With the existing file based integration between CAP-OM-RL, response time was too slow for CAP team to respond back to the customer which causes a business issue, also there were a lot of complaints about data loss.BizTalk Implementation addresses both the issues (response time and loss of messages) by replacing the File based integration with BizTalk middleware. It’s XML based integration with agreed upon partnership between CAP, OM and RL. All the business Rules Validation takes place at OM and only schema Validation takes place at RL; once the Schema Validation is successful the data will be inserted into RL database.
