Group Captain D.P. Apte (Retd) is a professor and director of MIT School of

headed an aero-engine overhaul plant as a Senior Production Engineer. He

retired from IAF in year 2002 when he was commanding Central Servicing

Development Organization of IAF.

Since year 2003 he is the Director and Professor at MIT Group of

Management institutes. He teaches production and operations subjects

including Operations Research, Production management, Quality management,

Operations management, etc. He is the author of four books Probability and

Combinatorics, Probability and Statistics and Statistical Tools for

Managers which are very popular titles among MCA and MBA students and

approved reference books by Universities. He has published an ebook titled

Last seven years as a NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and HUNA

practitioner he has provided counselling to more than 1000 people

suffering from depression, stress, alcoholism, addiction, emotional

disorders, etc, conducted number of seminars and written articles in

leading newspapers. His work counselling work among the students has been

noteworthy. He received Best Teacher Award in 2009 from a UNESCO chair

Stood first in College of Aeronautics, Cranfield Institute of

Technology, U.K. Awarded Royal Aeronautical Society Prize and

Fanmaker Association Prize.

Prepared & published aircraft technology manual first time in IAF.

Edited and published Aircraft Maintenance Journal for two years.

Work Experience

Over 35 years of Management experience, of which 22 years in leading

large teams in a production/service organisation, and 13 years of teaching

at post graduate level.

Seven years teaching and administrative experience at a leading

business school in India.

Extensive experience in project planning, procurement, material

management, coordination & control of engineering activities.

Organisational Experience

As a Director at various institutes in MIT Group viz. MIT School of

Management, MIT School of Business and MIT School of Government.
