Real-Time Digital Signal Processing project
Audio Effect Generator:
Sound reverberation effect generation: Involved the use MATLAB for simulation of algorithm,
implementation done on TMS320C6713 DSK board with Code Composer Studio as IDE.
Down-sampling of audio stream using circular buffer to maximize memory utilization: MATLAB used for
simulation and TMS320C6713 DSK board for implementation and testing.
DSP Project
Subband echo cancellation using adaptive filters
Use of subband analysis/synthesis filters to code/reconstruct speech signals. NLMS approach was used to
design adaptive filter. Simulations were done in MATLAB.
Optimum Signal Processing (DSP II)
Speech Coding
Speech compression done using Linear Prediction Coefficients (LPC). Levinson-Durbin algorithm was
used to reduce the computational complexity. Simulations were done in MATLAB.
Machine Vision Project
Web Cam Based Real Time Acquisition and Recognition of Numerals
MATLAB Image acquisition toolbox interfaced with web-cam used to capture trajectory traced out by a
bright object. The trajectory was then used to estimate the coordinates in space and corresponding numeral
chosen based on the images stored in database. Project later lead to development of a research paper.
Embedded Systems Project
Microcontroller (AT89C51RC2) based board development for switching between DVD & audio:
Interfacing of Audio-Video Switch, Surround Sound Decoder, Serial and Parallel LCD displays, IR remote
control, Rotary Encoder and & EEPROM with 8051 microcontroller.
Embedded C programming using Keil Microvision 3.
FPGA Project
FPGA implementation of IEEE 802.3 based MAC Transmitter through VHDL
The hardware for MAC Transmitter based on IEEE 802.3 CSMA/CD protocol was synthesized using XST
VHDL and simulated using ModelSim.
