1970-2000 Professional vocalist and studio musician

1997-2000 Elementary teacher, Mt. Sinai Elementary School, Mt. Sinai,

New York. Third-grade classroom teacher and district technology trainer.

spent extensive time presenting ideas and experience at technology con-

ferences and workshops throughout the Northeast region. Received the

Technology Teacher of the Year for two consecutive years from ASSET,

(Association of Suffolk County Supervisors for Educational Technology)

where in 1999, 2000, 2001 she conducted a series of presentations enti-

tled, "Tomorrow's Classroom Today".

2001-2003 Elementary teacher, Stone Academy of Communication Arts,

a magnet school for arts infused education, Greenville, South Carolina. In

the Greenville County School District, served as a technology curriculum

developer and continued to facilitate workshops and give presentations

on the evolution of information literacy and student achievement. Served

on the team that developed Greenville County s technology plan. In 2002

named Teacher of the Year at Stone Academy.

In 2003-present, Instructional Technology Facilitator and Media Special-

ist at Suffern Middle School, Ramapo Central School District, Suffern,

NY. Facilitator, teacher technology training program, developed course-

work for professional development.

2006 established first educational presence in the virtual world of Teen

Second Life for Suffern Middle School: Ramapo Islands.

her keynote; Ramapo Islands:A New Dimension in Learning at many

educational conferences including Ed Tech 2007, ISTE Best Practices

Presented Down the Rabbit Hole at NECC 2007, NYSCATE, Tech

Expo 2007, the Tech Forum at IBM Palisades.

Presented To Affinity and Beyond on ISTE Island in Second Life with

Kevin Jarrett and Catherine Parsons.

She has facilitated curriculum design work-shops and professional devel-

opment for ISTE, Boise State, Point Click and Learn, LHRIC, BOCES,

Dutchess County Model Schools.

Conducted Ramapo Central School District professional development for

Classroom 2.0, and Teaching in Second Life.

Scheduled to present Build It and They Will Learn: Play it and They

Will Win this summer in Boston at the Alan November Learning Con-

ference.
