Co-led a group of four to design an automated measuring device for Pratt & Whitney Canada under
the supervision of a faculty professor at U of T
Designed and built a device that calculates the true centre of rotation of a rotor in a PW300
turbofan engine. LABVIEW and C++ were used to interface with sensors and code the program
The final prototype was accurate to 0.001 and 0.01 degrees. It also passed the repeatability &
reproducibility test
Submitted a detailed final report, user documentation, and source codes to P&WC

Designed a device that holds a hockey stick and strikes the puck in different angles and force in
order to test the strength of the hockey stick
Used ANSYS to perform FEA to find maximum and minimum stresses and deflections of the
structure. Also performed hand calculations to calculate the stresses and deflections at joints
Contour plots and deformed plots of the hockey stick tester were obtained to obtain detailed stress
and strain analysis of the design for different materials

Led a group of five to design penstocks of a hydro-electric power station for the Ontario Power
Generation (OPG). Proposed design was approved by the OPG

budget of the project in mind
