President

Founded a private law and consulting firm as a transition step to a corporate position. Practice focuses on providing strategy consultation services for Chicago area law firms and businesses and managing firm cases in the areas of aviation and aerospace law, medical malpractice, construction, engineering and other areas of the law in state and Federal courts.

Selected accomplishments include:

* Retained by a Chicago law firm one month before trial to serve as lead trial counsel in a Federal case against the FAA involving complex air traffic control, piloting, aerospace and metrological rules, practices and standards. Performed comprehensive technical and legal research and created an innovative new trial strategy from the existing case materials. Extensive trial preparation and development of the facts and evidence in the case in conjunction with negotiation expertise resulted in a large settlement for the client on the eve of trial.

* Retained by a suburban law firm to take over a highly complex defamation case that had been

languishing for more than six years. Aggressively eliminated ineffective strategies and theories and created a new streamlined case strategy to yield better results. Reset court deadlines and established a new case management plan to place the case back in the good graces of the client and the judge and expedite the resolution of the case.

* Ongoing expert consulting for Chicago-area firms on large-scale complex litigation including the review and analysis of new and existing healthcare, insurance, medical device, medical negligence, aerospace, aviation, product liability and construction cases for merit and devising effective, specific litigation strategies and management protocols for all phases of litigation, negotiation and trial.
