Selected Achievements
One of three executives that started the first American run company in central Albania, as the country privatizes their petroleum industry which includes the largest European on-shore reservoir, we brought new recovery technology to the country and proposed the use of the heat from the reservoir to produce 'free' clean electricity. Contracted to bring oil cleanup technology to the country to address the environmental disaster from years of poor oil production methods while negotiated with the EU and World Bank for environmental clean-up funds. I came on board to bring my years of experience in new technology and management to open the country operations and implement all new field operations as the overall program manager and COO. Old wells have been reactivated, production doubled and ongoing pollution mitigated.
I collaborated with suppliers of similar technology in other fields and was the program manager for a team that developed an industry specific catalogue for the BIM tools and customized them for our high-tech semiconductor facilities industry. This helped eliminate the close to $50mil excess spends per major facilities design and construction project and hundreds of thousand of man hours correcting and coordinating field work. Our first pilot project, though only partial implementation, saved $7.1 mil on one project.
Managed the BIM/XDCAD program as well as many other technologies for Intel Corporation in the capital project world, identifying that hundreds of millions of dollars and countless time was spent on inefficient process and procedures. Establishing BIM/XDCAD as a premier goal in our company and in the high tech capital projects industry by using the early results from our implementation as well as providing evidence of the cross-industry benefits derived from the petro/chem and the aeronautics industries prototypes. Spoke and presented on the benefits of new technology in the capital project design and construction world I became well known in that arena as an experienced expert. World of Concrete, CURT, CII, FIATECH, DBIA and many other industry and cross-industry consortia as well as universities and company specific events were common arenas for my speaking, presenting and lecturing.
My wife and I founded a 501-c-3 charity (www.cjmi.org). We continue to fundraise, manage the projects, budget and personnel both remotely and with regular trips, providing healthcare, education, social reform and critical sustaining support to an indigenous Ati tribe in the Central Philippines.
Provided high-tech clean room training and monitoring for thousands of construction workers as the site manager of the new `protocol` team. Time to money is always critical in the design and construction of manufacturing facilities specifically high-tech clean room facilities. In collaboration with the client owners, we were able to cut weeks off the 'cleaning' schedule and allow the 'clean' sensitive equipment installation to start weeks earlier.
As a leading research institute in the development and pilot implementations of new construction technology, Stanford`s `Center for Integrated Facilities Engineering` (CIFE), asked me to sit on their industry advisory council. I spent many years sponsoring, advising, and marketing the benefits of the CIFE and the technology we pioneered.
