Carpentry Specialist.

Expertly maintains and repairs buildings and structures to include walls, flooring, ceiling, and other construction. Maintains and repairs doors, windows and screens. Apply protective coating such as primers on multi-shop jobs and structural maintenance. Installs finishing's and materials. Lays out and prepares carpentry and masonry material. Maintains carpentry and masonry tools and installs and replaces building hardware. Stats, maintains, and repaired ceramic, mosaic, quarry wall and floor tile. Performs the installation of insulating and acoustical materials. Repairs and manufacturers insulated glass window inserts. Assembles prefabricated structures. Reads and interprets shop drawings and blueprints. Lays out and prepares material, using hand and power driven tools. Constructs forms for footings, concrete pads, peers, and columns for prefabricated steel structures. Installs building hardware, siding, roofing, gypsum board, and utilities sections during construction of various projects. Removes and replaces carpet.

Perform layout of all carpentry and masonry materials necessary to meet all requirements. Coordinated with other shops (electric, plumbing, instrument control, metal, etc.) in order to develop a well regulated schedule designed to assure timely completion of all projected tasks. Expected jobsites to assure that a high quality of work was maintained. Train subordinate personnel to perform a wide range of carpentry/missionary tasks, to include reading and producing sketches and prints.

Responsible for the government realizing documented savings in excess of $500,000 during my tenure with the Air Force. Sought always to develop safe, timely, economical means of tasks accomplished. Average job completions within approximately 75% of allotted time, resulting in my receiving superior performance reports throughout my career. Installation of rafters, staircases, doors, windows, insulation, trim, floor covering, baseboards, ceiling grid and tiles, paneling, and drywall, as well as a wide range of facility repairs consumed about 80% of my time whereas 20% was spent on parts fabrication and material acquisition.
