Hello,
I am a Ryerson University graduate with both a Master s and Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering and I am writing to inquire about a possible entry level position within your company for
a mechanical engineering designer.
My relevant work experience has been as a production-engineering assistant in a display company and
as a co-contractor for a home renovations company. I have also volunteered with Habitat for
Humanity on various house building projects. From my work experience, I have learned th at I am
visually oriented and I look at problem solving from the design and manufacturing perspective with a
focus on the production, use and end of life disposal, rather than only concentrating on just the desired
outcome. My strengths are in the conception, ideation and execution of engineering design.
I am a registered Engineering Intern with the PEO and have fulfilled all requirements for licensing, and
am now focused on completing the required four years of work experience.

Redesigned the concept of a bicycle lock to incorporate an electronic locking mechanism, using
