Main activities and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, Unit Chief and Asset Manager, I was responsible for carrying out the tasks of assisting and confirming the reception, transfer, movement or issuing of non-expendable assets.

To do this, I had to perform physical on site verifications and rotations of contingents in Port-au-Prince and the Regions, prepare reports for the Unit Chief derived from data gained during inspections, deal with all office paper works such as: Memorandums, Purchase orders, receiving and inspecting reports (R&1), shipment dispatches (CMR) and/or transfer documents, packing lists to go with the relevant administrative reports and related movement of engineering assets.

Check out staff members (Military and civilian) who had completed their assignment with MINUSTAH to ensure that the engineering equipment issued to them had been returned using the -Check Out System-, prepare assets for write off, prepare and update the Unit Attendance Records preparing a weekly report, prepare -Gate Passes- for Engineering Assets removed from the Log Yard, coordinate work for the three Warehouse Workers and to monitor their results, deal with customer enquiries, carry out all duties and responsibilities as directed by the Unit Chief.

I am able to perform all office management and administrative support functions. I have a wide experience in monitoring processes and schedules and I am able to ensure a smooth and efficient information flow. I have often in the past had to handle confidential information. I like to see ways of improving and developing office administrative systems and procedures. I am open-minded to innovative approaches. I also have good supervision and evaluation skills and I tend to stick rigorously to procedures.
