Dear Prospective Employers:
Here is my story:
I am a 57 year old male, retired from the Post Office in 2008.. I made the mistake of my life when I accepted an early retirement offer but at the time I needed to get out and this opportunity didnt come along very often so I took advantage of this. Looking at the situation now, I cant believe what I gave up and had no idea the ecoonomy would be this bad and I wouldn't be able to find ANY decent jobs out there related to what I was doing or even out of my field..
Right now I am struggling along on my small pension, unemployment and most of my retirement money. After this year most of these resources will be gone. Even if I find a job it wont be very high paying but at this point to get myself going again, I need any job and hope to advance from there.
I have been turned down by several jobs in which I believed I was qualifed for.
I also pursued a career in Security but finding out that field isnt what they claim it is and there are no jobs avail;able for inexperienced security guards even though I have my certificates..
I find a lot of scams out there and jobs that require fees which are unnecessary.
All I am looking for is a decent entry level type job which can use my skills and experience or a job in a new field for a mature experienced worker of 22 years with excellent personal and professional references. I am an excellent worker and am always punctual.
I just need someone to give me a chance.
I can do mail clerk work, messenger work, have basic computer knowledge and excellent math skills
I am very detail oriented
Willing to be trained for any job out there that you feel I am qualified for.
My resume is available upon request.
Please, someone give me a chance.
NO SALES OR MARKETING JOBS PLEASE
You won't be sorry.
