Assessed daily weather conditions (baseline weather and extreme conditions) and their

contribution to creating fire weather and the pattern of spread

Correlated various extreme weather conditions (temperature, hours of sun, and humidity) to

the incident and spread of fires

Investigated other contributing factors such as tree species and the role of seasonal insects

Produced greenhouse gas estimates based on the area burned in simulated climate change

scenarios (global warming of: 1 degree, 2 degrees, and 3 degrees)
