Operational and Training Management Job Tasks
Assist with preparing and composing weekly operational briefs for the Commanding General's review as well as submitting personnel availability reports, created monthly, weekly and bi-weekly reports to higher headquarters.
Manage the training, planning, and execution of operations conducted MALS-39 by coordinating parallel operations with various agencies such as air traffic control, civil engineers and command posts to ensure support of flight operations.
Supervise and coordinate training exercises for over 1030 Marines attached to MALS-39 by developing annual training plans in support of rifle, pistol, swim, physical fitness, combat fitness, leadership, general military skills training, unit briefs, and post-deployment personnel transitioning.
Liaison between Navy administration and Headquarters Marine Corps to accurately track and report all personnel in a limited duty status affecting deployment readiness and manpower while adhering to program guidelines, and maintaining private records, in accordance with all orders and directives pertaining.
Provide direct guidance and reports to Commanding Officer on all operation and training exercises.
Arrange and coordinate training dates and schedules. Maintain accurate training information for more than 1,030 personnel by using the Marine Corps Training Input Management System to approve and verify training.
Exercise mastery of principle methods for curriculum of training events, provide teaching instruction for individuals and groups, and measure training effects.
Project Management Job Tasks
Possess knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as word processing, MS SharePoint, designing MS Excel Spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, and the managing and reporting of over twenty major programs and their subsequent files and records.
Conduct production and logistical estimations to ensure projected equipment, personnel, materials and timelines are accurate and feasible through close coordination with higher headquarters/surrounding agencies for assigned missions and projects.
Prepare correspondence, command-issued directives, and leave authorizations to keep all echelons of the unit informed of the Commander's intent and guidance.
