FORMAL EDUCATION
Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, Master of Business Administration in June 1966. I earned the degree while I was working full time for General Motors as a supervisor in a production department.
Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in December 1962. I worked full time as a sales correspondent for Kaiser Aluminum except for the last five quarters of my degree requirement.
EXPERIENCE
University of Phoenix, years 2006 to the present. I am an Online Instructor for Finance, Financial Management, International Business, Business Law, and General Courses. I am approved for a total of twenty-two different courses. I taught at Lakeland Community College, in Lake County, Ohio for eight years part time from 1972 until 1980 teaching Finance and Trust Function and Service courses.
United Way of Lake County, in Mentor, Ohio, from 1999 to 2003. I was a key facilitator in the installation of a new accounting system. I also performed accounting functions and we received top approval ratings from our Auditor for three years in a row. This was a community contribution/activity on my part, working for a nominal salary.
Tabbert Financial Consultants, Inc., in Concord, Ohio, from 1983 to 1992 as a Registered Investment Advisor (Registered with the S.E.C.) with an outstanding investment performance record. From 1985 until the late nineties, I also sold investment and financial products through VTX Securities, of Hudson, Ohio (Series 7, OTC, NYSE licenses). In addition to financial and economic analysis, all aspects of the company were computerized including producing investment reports using data from other computer bases.
Bank One " Cleveland, where I was Vice President " Investments, from 1972 to 1983. I was Vice President in charge of investments and responsible for client contact regarding investments for the Trust Department of the Bank. My responsibilties included public speaking, meeting with potential clients and managing difficult and/or sophisticated clients. As part of the management team, I contributed strongly to the strategic development of business, increasing the investment assets from $11,000,000.00 to $145,000,000.00 during my tenure. I was also President of the Lake County Estate Planning Council.
Central National Bank, Cleveland, Ohio, from 1971 to 1972. I was in New Business Development in the Trust Department. I developed new business through meeting with branch managers, attorneys and accountants, in addition to direct client contact.
Hornblower & Weeks " Hemphill & Noyes, Cleveland, Ohio from 1969 to 1971. I was a Registered Representative (Series 7, OTC, NYSE licenses). Almost all of my clients followed me to this high quality firm where I added additional clients through my sales efforts. I mentored new brokers by working with them and sharing my experience.
Francis I DuPont & Co., Cleveland, Ohio, from 1966 to 1969. I was a Registered Representative (Series 7, OTC, NYSE licenses). I established a large clientele in this period despite the recent move to Cleveland. I opened over five hundred accounts, largely through telephone sales. In addition, clients were added through seminars and public speaking engagements.
