my favourite project to work on: I have the opportunity to design and develop features for a
project that makes life much easier for both developers and end-users.
My contributions on this project include:
Designing and implementing several major features using Ruby, RSpec and Cucumber
Answering support questions and helping to foster a community around ActiveAdmin
Smashing bugs
BC Liquor Locator (bcliquorlocator.com) - Creator (2010)
BC Liquor Locator is an app I built in my spare time to solve a problem had by many British
Columbians: nding the closest open liquor store. This is my rst attempt to promote and
market my own product, the process continues to provide me with opportunities to learn more
about technology, design and people.
Currently this project consists of:
A native iPhone App currently available in the App Store
A soon-to-be-launched Backbone.js mobile site
A Ruby on Rails JSON API with a Mechanize scraper to update store information

About me
Born and raised in Vancouver, I ve always loved designing and building
things. My dad is a high school technology teacher and my mom is an
artist, naturally I ve fallen someone in-between with skills from both
worlds. Aside from my work I love listening to the Blues, playing my
guitar, snowboarding, wakeboarding and traveling to sunny places.
