VP of Operations

Manage the day to day operation of a wholesale foodservice distribution facility. Responsible for both warehouse and transportation operations. Managed the P&L for both departments. Experienced with Voxware and APT warehouse management systems. In July of 2012, I stepped down to take over transportation once again and also took over the fleet management department. I was involved with the management of our Burger King accounts as well as Church`s and many other regional type chains. Worked closely with sales to help develop and increase the number of street sales routes as our focus turned to increasing street sales.

Responsible for managing the transportation department and the fleet department for a wholesale foodservice company. Managed 40 drivers and a support staff of 4. Managed routes and delivery times using a routing system, Roadnet. Also used an on board computer system, Peoplenet to manage the productivity of the drivers, DOT regulations, and better fuel management.

Vice President of Operations

Managed the day to day operation of a wholesale foodservice distribution facility. Responsible for managing a $5MM expansion in 2003. Assisted in the installation of the Red Prairie WMS in mid-2005. Also assisted with the installation of the Voxware system in 2006. Submitted and managed all capital expenditures for the facility.

U.S. Foodservice purchased Alliant Foodservice in October of 2001.

Personal

I started in this business driving a truck making deliveries. I moved into the warehouse when I returned after my four years with the U.S Coast Guard. When I returned I moved into the warehouse and selected groceries off hand written invoices and memorized the slots. Over the last 35 years there have been tremendous technological advancements in this industry. Even with all the technology today, it still takes proper management skills to be successful. I feel I have those skills.
