OBJECTIVE

To play a key leadership role in a challenging and developing business opportunity or company that will capitalize on my executive and operational management experience with a technical background to facilitate success.

EXPERIENCE

COMMSCOPE, Inc. / ANDREW, Ashburn, VA (Commscope acquired Andrew Corp. in January 2008)

Vice President & General Manager, WNS Services - 10/06 to 11/11

In a realignment of the wireless businesses, I developed a Services division, which consolidated several -service- businesses and functions of CommScope/Andrew including Comsearch spectrum management solutions, After Market Services (repair, refurbishment and resell of wireless equipment), Deployment / Installation Services for Andrew products, Engineering Support, Program Management Office, and 24x7 Customer Technical Support Call Center. This group supported multiple business units until a major restructure and consolidation of Commscope took place in 2011.

Vice President, Network Solutions - 7/03 to 10/06

When Andrew Corporation acquired Allen Telecom Inc., which was the parent company of Comsearch, the Allen Telecom companies were consolidated into new divisions of Andrew. I was asked to lead an emerging business focused on Geolocation products and services. In fiscal 2004 I led the business to achieve over $150M in revenue with record profits. I also led the deployment of international security based applications and location based services (LBS), establishing business in the Middle East region.

COMSEARCH, Reston, VA

President - 12/98 to 7/03

Promoted to President and conducted a right-sizing of the company, eliminated unnecessary overhead costs and created a more horizontal organization. I led the strategic initiative to migrate the company to an electronic commerce environment as a vision of the future. This included developing options for merger, acquisition and partnering and expanded the reach of company software products and consulting engineering services by opening new international offices in Southeast Asia.

Vice President, Operations - 1/96 to 12/98

Managed the development and realization of the company`s overall operational objectives, plans, and schedules. This included accountability for the efficient management and profitable growth of all business units and supporting functions. Responsibilities included business results, strategic and annual plans, external relations and business unit operations.

Vice President / General Manager of Telespectro de Mexico - 12/97 to 2000

Initiated development of an international spectrum management services company in Mexico as an operational subsidiary of Comsearch. We worked with the Mexican regulatory authorities to establish the requirement for a neutral spectrum administrator in the auction rules issued for point-to-point microwave spectrum.

Vice President, Microwave & Satellite Services - 1988 to 1996

Division manager responsible for planning and operations with a staff of 70 and revenues in excess of $10M annually, or 2/3 of company revenue during this period. Services provided included all microwave and satellite frequency analysis and assignments, microwave path and site design, site acquisition, database management and strategic information services, GIS services, field measurement and survey investigative services, and departmental software development. Responsibilities included strategic planning, budget preparation and administration, sales and direction of numerous special projects.

Vice President, Computer Operations - 1994 to 1996

Due to operational priorities in 1994, I assumed dual roles managing development of the company`s computer network expansion and migration from a Prime mini-computer system to segmented Unix client server environment and expanded Novell network. Initial assumption of this responsibility required the supervision and planning of a network upgrade for 300 users during a physical company relocation, which was successfully conducted over one weekend.

Director, Systems Engineering - 1987 to 1988

I was the business unit manager responsible for planning and operations of this group. Services provided included microwave route design, path surveying, site acquisition, and field measurement investigations. While in this position, I assumed a key role in the management and direction of the company`s frequency planning business. Also assisted in planning the consolidation of two competing companies acquired simultaneously by Alliance Telecom, Comsearch and Spectrum Planning, playing a major role in their successful integration under the Comsearch banner.

Senior Manager, Field Services - 1980 to 1988

Started the company`s Field Services Department in 1980 serving in both technical and managerial roles. Services included both laboratory and field testing of radio frequency and electromagnetic interference and radiation hazards.
