Professional Experience
January 1997 to December 2012
Applied Materials, Inc Santa Clara, 95054
Senior Test Engineer
Performed reviews of specifications, designs, and test plans for new Semiconductor tools and Process Chambers. Successfully participated in R&D for all major systems for CVD and PVD tools (Centura CVD and PVD, Vantage, Producer GT) from 150 mm silicon wafers up to 300 mm. Collaborated with Hardware, Software and Process engineers and project managers regarding design parameters for future 450 mm fabs.
Managed numerous projects simultaneously within limited time and resources. During last 5 years coordinated over 15 major Projects for most advanced tools and processes. Developed multiple test procedures for Software controls of the process chambers and wafer sequencer.
Advised on developments and troubleshooting of Software Simulation tools and Test Automation. Developed and utilized a rich library of System Configuration Simulation packages in order to perform Software Regression Testing, covered by test Automation. Established test Data-Sheets by converting Gas Panel drawings into Test Automation, based on QTP/QC tools.
Assisted programmers force in evaluating of customer requirements and implementation of the best practical solutions per Customer expectations. Initiated and optimized Customer surveys for Software products, based on established criteria for Software performance.
Troubleshot the most complicated Sequencer Logic for dual Robots and Front End assembly to maintain system throughput enhancements. Continuously identified, tested and monitored product safety, leading to safer Software and Hardware products.
Created detailed technical reports of errors in designs - not according to specifications for PVD, CVD, ALD projects. Reported over 1200 Software errors and enhancements, and over 50 safety related errors in Software projects.
February 1993 to December 1996
Applied Materials, Inc Santa Clara, CA
Final Test Senior Engineering Technician
Debugged and troubleshot complex analog, digital, and RF circuits.
Tested a wide variety of Endura /Centura PVD systems, Customer
Engineering Specials (CES), and modules using vast experience
and innovative methods. Troubleshot analog and digital circuitry
of E/M and UHV systems, using O-scopes, UL He-leak detectors,
RGAs and Quadrex 200, portable vacuum gauges.
Implemented process qualifications for a gamut of PVD (Ti, TiN, TiW, Al) and Preclean I, II chambers on both Endura and Centura platforms. Proficient in use of PROMETRIX SM300 and OmniMap Auto RS55/tc wafer testing tools. Actively participated in two special projects led by team comprised of the most experienced engineers in PVD. Contributed to production of the new generations of Coherent PVD, Preheat and PVD Degas chambers.
Demonstrated precise high quality Robot Calibrations for HP/VHP systems, automated cassette indexers in 125mm, 150mm, and 200mm configurations, thus enabling successful 1000 wafer transfers from the first run.
