Dear Hiring Committee

I have recently graduated from the Computer Science program at Algoma University and I am interested in applying for the Software

developer (.Net/C# with CRM Consultant) position. My current education, qualifications and previous work experience would be a

great asset in the job position as I have much to offer.

I am currently employed as a Systems Technician for MHICA and have had a successful career in the aircraft industry. However my

passion for computer programming has pushed me towards furthering my education and making a career change. At MHICA I m

required to work both independently and in a group with tight deadlines on a daily basis. In addition to working for MHICA I have

been working part-time for the City of Brampton as an Operator in the recreation centers since 2001. As an operator I am requ ired

to interact with the public on a daily basis. One of the main objectives as an employee of the City of Bram pton is to keep the public

content by assisting in their needs. Some of the job requirements involve set up of public events, assisting in day to day activities and

answering all inquiries made by the customers. My software development work experience includes designing and developing a web

page for a martial arts dojo as well as being actively interested in Android ROM customization.

In the Computer Sciences program at Algoma University I have worked with object oriented languages such as Java and C#. I have

also worked with web technologies including HTML, XML, XHTML, Servlet, JSP, AJAX, CSS and ASP.NET. The Computer Science

program included database courses such as Database Design and Database Management based around Oracle SQL and MS Access.

The Operating System course encompassed the general principals of UNIX and MS Windows; operations, processing, memory

management and scheduling. Practical application and knowledge was used in the multiple assignments and projects distributed

throughout the courses.

System Analysis & Design and Software Engineering introduced me to the field of information systems and software development.

In these classes we learned about different methods of fact finding, business analysis, system analysis, data modeling, software

development, software implementation and testing. I have taken an interest in this field of study and plan on continuing my

education in this direction.

I was also the class representative for the Computer Science program at Algoma University, Brampton Campus. Through this

opportunity I ve developed both leadership skill and the ability to work as part of a team. I was the project manager fo r the group

project which was to create a software product to aid a business, increase efficiency and revenue. My tasks were to manage th e

time, resources, monitor the progress, product testing, troubleshooting, and creating all the UML documentations.

I would enjoy being part of your business and am available for an interview at your convenience. Please feel free to contact me at

647-***-****. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Sincerely,

David Pinheiro
