9/08 present Assistant Chief of Staff for Manpower and Personnel, Marine Forces Central Command, Tampa, FL
Led all manpower requirements planning, execution, and HR administration for over 25,000 Marines in support of national security objectives in U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Conducted extensive coordination with theater agencies, HQMC, Joint Staff, and NATO to refine requirements, developed tailored solutions, and ensure balanced and sustainable demand on personnel resources during a period which encompassed the simultaneous retrograde of U.S. forces from Iraq and build up and sustainment of forces in Afghanistan.
- Lead negotiator with U.K. forces on sharing and expansion of bases in southern Afghanistan.
- Led development and drove enterprise-wide adoption of several revisions to manpower policies and procedures, such as casualty replacement, accountability of personnel transiting the theater, patient administration and tracking, and sustainment of adviser teams.
