teachers class included the preparation of teacher portfolios, a requirement for receiving a

professional teaching certificate. Instructed in use of technology applications and use of social media

such as blogs, forums, podcasting and webpage creation for teacher use in the classrooms with the

students. Training also included Microsoft Moviemaker and Apple iMovie for use in visual story-telling.

Extensive use of Teachertube to upload teacher and student products may be seen entering name

www.EdTechUniverse.org webpage was used to house course content when instructing. This

webpage also includes the media used in class, blogs and forums students participated in as well as all

the information needed for them to successfully complete the training for credit. Although this was a

face to face course, all the material and work required could have been done on-line if Miami-Dade

County had provided a professional course content manager and also made it available.
