INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT; PORTLAND, OR 2003-2007, 2009-
Created web applications for The Middleware Company (TheServerSide.com), Vaisala and other clients using various
versions of Tapestry. Provided support, mentoring and hands-on Tapestry training for a wide variety of clients in North
America and Europe. Active speaker on the No Fluff Just Stuff conference series. Creator and primary developer of
Apache Tapestry component web framework.
DIRECTOR OF OPEN SOURCE TECHNOLOGY, FORMOS; VANCOUVER, WA 2007-2009
Provider of custom Tapestry training to Formos developers and Formos' clients. Developed Tapestry and extensions
to Tapestry, as well as hands-on training materials. Implemented a framework for quick creation of highly dynamic
client-side forms.

Assisted in the development of Feature50's Java Swing framework, Clarity; added testing features, and rebuilt core
around Tapestry 5 IoC container. Converted client builds from Ant to Maven to support continuous integration be-

sisted in UI development.
