Church and Community

Raised in Uniting Church but have volunteered and worked for various churches and community groups.

in the 1980s and 1990s worked with Youth With A Mission, Scripture Union (Bible Society), Meals on Wheels, Camp Cal, FUSION (halfway house), Catholic Social Response; and Cairns Combined Churches RE Program (acting as deputy principal).

During my apprenticeship with SU Drama Society often given the leading role. Often involved in outreach and community work such as helping run school holiday camps and school holiday missions or volunteering at FUSION halfway house where receiving training in Transactional Analysis and Guided Meditation counselling. In the last few years volunteered and attended Chapel with Elsa at Somerville House.

Most of my socializing and fellowship however is with my academic friends I meet on the net.

I run a science and philosophy research and discussion group: Benj Bear and Friends.

We discuss moral, religious and philosophical issues; and support each other with emotional and practical support. Little attention is put on country, race, religion or cultural background. Quite a few of my friends are religious leaders, ministers or priests, but just as many follow non-religious philosophies. Many of my friends are advocates of inter-cultural peace movements such as israelovesiran.com, and groups for women's rights in middle east and other regions.

One of my particular interests is in diverting energies and resourses from military to non-military ventures, such as reforresting desert regions.

My VR interpretation of 20th century physics and Mathew Raspanti's Virtualism is based on Bishop Berkeley's Idealism where the world is seen as a dream of God. I am an expert in many aspects of metaphysics and philosophy of religion such as Watchman Nee's Bible examination of Descartes' mind-body dualism expressed in the concepts of mind, body and spirit in New and Old Testaments.

Academic Research & Associated Activities

Currently leading a team of academics and scientific authors and researchers, developing a "Virtual Reality interpretation of quantum

physics". With the assistance of Prof. Usha Raut, Matthew Raspanti (the father of "Virtualism") from Bell Labs, and a team of able volunteers, preparing

a presentation for Nobel physicist Frank Wilczek.

After helping award winning author Rob Lowe write "The Eccentric Universe", co-writing "Eccentric Reality" which will highlight research in Idealism, Quantum Mind, and Holographic Information towards a Virtual Reality interpretation of Quantum and Spacetime physics.
