Aaa Consolidated 33 IT departments of the 5th largest city in America into one, resulting in a central group of ~500 employees and a $64 million annual operating budget. Designed a private/public cloud strategy for the City to reduce owned data centers. Worked with the Federal Government and Military to re-purpose software from the war theater for use in the City. Expanded/refined the 5-yr strategy and roadmap, and planned the expenditure of $125 million in capital improvement to upgrade the network, consolidated over 20 aaAdata centersaa, implemented key new initiatives like Zoning Violations Portal and Mobile 311 and laid out the framework for an ERP to replace numerous legacy systems. Aaa Guided district-wide initiatives such as 311 / CiRM, aaAwar on paperaa document management and workflow, expansion of the citywide data warehouse and the revamping of the Districtaaas web presence to be consumer / citizen oriented. Worked with DC Public Schools and the Health & Human Services agencies to enhance the systems to consolidate data, perform child-related risk analysis, identify data needs & sources earlier and be more citizen-centric vs. agency-centric. Assumed major new financial and administrative roles with the departure of the Chief-of-Staff, the CFO and the COO. Inherited and cleaned up an administration and financial mess.
