Interactive education device, Spring 2011- present
Worked on a research program for a professor on a team of 11 to develop a wireless RFID scanner to be used in
classrooms outfitted with RFID tags to make a creative, interactive classroom for the children to learn in.
Aided in designing and creating a Java based system which processes the information coming from the scanner
and responds accordingly.
Learned the intricacy of merging hardware and software together, and the basics of the design process such as
choosing the coding language that is to be used and developing the parts list.
UBTalker, Fall 2011, Spring 2012
An assistive communications device to help speech-impaired individuals using commercial grade technology.
Redesigning the current system to modernize its GUI, put it onto iOS and Android powered devices, and to make
it more reliable than its predecessor.
Donkey Kong, Spring 2011
Designed a text-based game of Donkey-Kong using an ARM 7 micro-processor on a development board.
Contained within the program were player input handling, automation of barrel movement and creation, and
conditions for winning.
Utilized UART input and output commands, baud-rate controls, onboard LEDS and GPIO controlled devices.
